Fermata’s first public beta: Jellyfin, Navidrome, OpenSubsonic and Subsonic servers, local folders and internet radio in one library, one queue and one player.
Library
- All Sources merges every server and folder into one library; each album, artist and track keeps its source.
- Artist pages with bios, similar artists and top songs, from your listening or the community’s. Album notes and multi-disc albums grouped with disc names.
- Rate tracks, albums and artists on Navidrome and Subsonic. Sort albums by rating and filter by hearts and stars; each page remembers its filters.
- Albums and artists as a grid or a list, remembered per page.
- The library browses offline, and a failed sync never deletes it.
Queue and playlists
- One shared queue across sources that survives relaunches. Drop tracks anywhere in it, remove duplicates, and drag whole albums and artists onto the queue or a playlist.
- Track and Artist Mixes that keep the queue going with similar music.
- Playlists behave like Finder: ⌘/⇧-click, ⌘A, ⌘C/⌘X/⌘V, ⌫ and drag and drop.
- Edit Navidrome playlists in place, and create smart playlists with a visual rule editor.
- Import JSPF and XSPF playlists with a review step, and export them back.
Sound
- Gapless playback and progressive streaming with seeking.
- Output device selection, automatic sample-rate switching and a bit-perfect mode. Now Playing shows the signal path and every reason output isn’t bit-perfect.
- Server transcoding to MP3 or Opus, and Data Saver for metered connections.
- ReplayGain by track, album or automatic, off by default.
Mac
- Liquid Glass on macOS 26, native materials on macOS 15.
- Synced lyrics, a menu bar mini player, media keys and system Now Playing.
- Swipe and mouse buttons go back and forward.
